Ryan New to Speak at Smart Seeds & Fertiliser Innovation Forum 2026
The Original Grain Company is proud to announce that Managing Director, Ryan New, has been invited to speak at the upcoming Smart Seeds & Fertiliser Innovation Forum, taking place on 26–27 August 2026 at the Irene Country Club in Johannesburg. The event brings together leading voices from across the agricultural sector to discuss innovation, sustainability, productivity, and the future of farming in Africa.
The forum will feature experts from across the agricultural value chain, including researchers, agronomists, policymakers, seed specialists, economists, agribusiness leaders, and technology providers. The event focuses on the practical solutions, technologies, and partnerships needed to support modern agriculture and strengthen food systems.
Ryan will present on "Financing Agriculture & Unlocking Production Through Smart Input Models", sharing insights from The Original Grain Company's work supporting farmers through innovative funding and production models.
Through initiatives such as the Advanced Agricultural Product Purchasing (AAPP) programme and The Original Grain Fund, the company provides upfront capital to farmers at the beginning of the planting season, helping to reduce risk, unlock production potential, and strengthen agricultural supply chains.
"Access to funding remains one of the biggest challenges facing agricultural production," says New. "When farmers have the resources they need at the start of the season, it creates opportunities for growth, supports food security, and allows land to reach its productive potential."
The Smart Seeds & Fertiliser Innovation Forum comes at a time when agriculture faces increasing pressure to improve productivity while navigating climate challenges, rising input costs, sustainability requirements, and growing demand for food production.
Ryan's participation reflects The Original Grain Company's commitment to supporting practical agricultural solutions that benefit farmers, communities, and the broader agricultural sector.
We look forward to contributing to the discussions and engaging with industry stakeholders at this important event.
